Rhythm, who was born with black Americans, is a direct child of the blues in Mississippi. That sound exciting, forbidden for white girls, was branded by the conservative American society of 50 years as the devil's work and should at all costs be avoided.

In the early days, Fats Domino, in 1949, sold more than 1 million copies of the first single The Fat Man, Chucky Berry hallucinated audiences with his guitar solos and Little Richard was responsible for such hits as Tutti Frutti and Long Tall Sally. But this was only the beginning. Halfway through the 50's, the wave of vibrations coming from the ghetto, a boy appears with powerful voice, a sexy dance and disconcerting that, to general astonishment, was white: Elvis Presley. Began the first pop star on the planet, the king of rock. With Elvis, rock arrived with full force to white audiences. Was no longer around. The seed of rebellion was there, and a powerful song that can change behaviors and influence generations, too. Young people now know how to express themselves.
